A word from my Uncle

Last week, my Uncle Mark emailed me information about something fun he did. Here is his email. Enjoy!

To all,
This is what I did in last Saturday's snowstorm in Maryland.
Watch the enclosed videos from the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge.
Yes I DID PLUNGE 3 times; the 3rd Plunge was a complete dunk underwater.
Was it cold? Darn right it was. After my 3rd plunge I could not feel my legs nor my feet. My legs warmed up earlier than my feet but I came out ok from the most crazy and insane event I have ever attended.
However, the weather conditions at the time; air temp in the lower 20's, water temp in the lower 30's, wind gusts of 10-15 mph with a wind chill of 7 degrees, plus the raging snowstorm that unexpectedly dropped close to 10 inches around the DC/Baltimore metro areas all combined to make Saturday a PERFECT day for a Plunge. After all this is why it is called a P-O-L-A-R Plunge.
The snowstorm only enhanced the craziness and insanity of the event and made a dream come true for me as well; to walk or stroll along the beach and take a swim in a snowstorm.
I shot nearly 200 pix. When I finally get them upload I'll send ya'll some.
One more Plunge to go; on February 20th on North Carolina's Outer Banks at Nags Head.
Your comments appreciated too.
Enjoy,
Mark
PS: I was NOT in any of the videos.
